The Cinnabon Story
It began in early 1985 when father and son team, Rich and Greg Komen, enlisted a master baker to create the world’s greatest cinnamon roll from scratch. After months of frustration and hundreds of failed attempts, the trio came up with the perfect mix combining the finest ingredients from across the globe. On December 5th, their sweet dreams became a reality as they opened the first Cinnabon bakery in Sea Tac Mall in Seattle to thousands of eagerly awaiting costumers. The original Cinnabon cinnamon roll topped with its signature frosting was an instant success, right out of the oven. America was hooked. Finally, a national treat that didn’t need a side of ice cream.
Cinnabon in the Philippines
The indulging aroma of Cinnabon has been in the Philippines since 1999 under the management of CANELLE FOOD CORPORATION (CAFCO), which holds the exclusive franchise of Cinnabon in the country.
The opening of the very first Cinnabon bakery at Robinsons Place Manila in October 1999, made a milestone as the very first Cinnabon Bakery in Asia.
As to date there are twenty (20) Cinnabon bakeries in the country committed to baking the world’s most famous cinnamon rolls, using the finest quality ingredients and serving them to you hot, right out of the oven.
